Dolly Turner is a Cleveland, Ohio native, who now calls Washington, DC her home. She has lived on both coasts and is a commercial and theatrical talent who was trained and performed at the legendary Karamu Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio, Round House Theater, and Silver Spring Stage. Dolly has appeared in regional commercials and was showcased as a Senator in the movie The Contender. Her resume also includes performances at the Kennedy Center’s Page to Stage, Source Theatre, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Inner Circle Theatre, Shakespeare’s Sistah Theatre Company, DC Black Theatre Arts Festival, Serenity Players, Metropolitan Ebony Theater, and the National Black Theater Festival. and had a recurring role as “ Burnout” in HBO’s The Wire.
She and her husband love to travel and are avid sailors, who sail the Chesapeake Bay. They have sailed 4 of the seven seas, with plans to sail the other three in the near future. She is also a proud mom to two daughters and Gl’amma to 4 boys. She considers herself to be a “Queenager” who never stops seeking adventure.
